CHAS Accredited 2018 – 2019

CHAS Accreditation Awarded in March

Since 2007 Evans Maintenance has been CHAS accredited continuously year on year. So for over 10 years we have remained CHAS compliant.

We take Health & Safety seriously and where possible exceeding the requirements has become a personal challenge for us. Our systems of work, qualifications, competence and examples of our day to day health and safety procedures are submitted and audited by external assessors and all done in house, we don’t rely on any external help or assistance in achieving the accreditation which means we fully understand the requirements of having a safe system of work implemented and adhered too.

We strive to always put Health & Safety at the forefront of all out activities and gaining accreditation from CHAS which is under the SSIP (Safety Schemes In Procurement) enables us to demonstrate to our clients that we are compliant sometimes saving time and money by not having to complete lengthy pre-qualification questionnaires as the bar has already set high having achieved the standard required.

Many private and public sectors now require contractors to hold the CHAS accreditation to ensure they are employing competent companies and the ability to be considered for many contracts by demonstrating that we can meet with the procurement H&S requirements further enhancing our competitive edge and to assure our customers we take our responsibilities & safety of all our team  seriously.

This enables us to work with some of the largest companies / public sectors in North Wales such as JCB, Toyota and the NHS along with the three local authorities being Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy and Wrexham.

Safe Contractor

In addition to CHAS we hold the Safe Contractor accreditation also under the umbrella SSIP scheme, both schemes can be recognised under SSIP but our strategy is to gain accreditation across both platforms to raise the bar further.

Managing director, Tim Evans, said “We are really pleased to once again be accredited with CHAS, for 11 years we have remained compliant and its more satisfying in the knowledge that we have again achieved this in-house, we don’t employ any Health & Safety consultants to complete this submission on our behalf as we feel we learn more from going through the process ourselves which gives us a better understanding and passes knowledge down through the management team, equally important by ensuring our engineers safe and happy within the work environment”
