Electric water heaters are very common in schools and offices, usually found to be providing hot water to wash hand basins. They can be installed out of sight within kitchen base units or in a discreet location which also means they can often be overlooked.
Electric water heaters are also part of an unvented hot water system so there are certain auxiliary components which need to be checked to ensure they offer the protection intended. As part of our routine maintenance we would check the operation of any temperature and pressure relief valve, cold water inlet water pressure reducer and the operation of temperature control thermostats
