There are many parameters which need to be checked annually or bi-annually on oil boilers to ensure the burners are firing safely and efficiently.
Pressure jet burners mostly have internal jets and hydraulic rams which operate air dampers assemblies and these must be checked along with the head pressure of oil delivered to from the fuel pump which we measure in PSI. Most common burners can be single stage or 2 stage where combustion should be measured and adjusted to deliver optimum efficiency and safe operation.
Not forgetting the auxiliary equipment such as fire valves, fuel tanks, level gauges, fuel filters and many other items which form the system.
