The Gala Awards ceremony of the prestigious annual Flintshire Business Awards 2017 was held in the elegant surroundings of Soughton Hall. The black-tie dinner is a flagship event forming part of Flintshire in Business 2017

The stunning Georgian country house with its grand entrance drive and landscaped gardens set the scene for what turned out to be a fantastic evening ahead.

Being part of the Flintshire business family, we were proud to be part of the event and to enter our chosen category of Best Business 10 and under.
Some of Evans Maintenance Services clients were also attending the event so it was nice to have a catch up too.

Funny man and comedian, John Martin was our host and kept everyone entertained throughout the evening, he was sharp and so full of energy we just don’t know how he kept this up for the duration of the show.

A fantastic meal was followed by the awards ceremony. When it came time for the presentations, Tim Evans, Managing Director of Evans Maintenance, was surprised and delighted to accept a Flintshire Business Award for Best Business (10 and under Employees).

Pictured here with award sponsor and judge, Nicola Edge of Edge Transport, and Evans Maintenance employee Leslie Ingram, Tim expressed pleasure that Evans Maintenance had won the category with their first attempt. “The Award is a real boost to the business and shows that we are on the right track.”

Before the evening concluded there was a chance to meet new people and catch up with friends alike. The carriages rolled up around midnight, and everyone left feeling happy to have been a part of the proceedings.
